Disability Support Worker (Male Preferred) – North Ryde Area
We’re currently looking for a reliable and down-to-earth support worker to join our team, supporting a male participant based in the North Ryde area.
This role involves working with a participant who has a brain injury, so we’re looking for someone patient, consistent, and able to build a strong, respectful working relationship over time. A male support worker is preferred for this position.
About the role:
Providing day-to-day support in the home and community
Assisting with routines, structure, and engagement
Supporting community access (appointments, outings, activities)
Encouraging independence while offering the right level of support
Maintaining clear communication with the broader support team
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting people with brain injuries or similar complex needs
Is calm, reliable, and emotionally intelligent
Communicates well and can adapt their approach when needed
Is confident working independently
Has a genuine interest in building rapport with participants
Essential requirements:
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
First Aid & CPR
Valid driver’s licence, access to a reliable vehicle and Comprehensive Car Insurance
Full working rights in Australia
Desirable:
Experience with behaviours of concern
Understanding of brain injury-related challenges (e.g. memory, regulation, fatigue)
Shifts and hours will be discussed with the right candidate, with a focus on consistency.
